The Carrier Infinity Dual Fuel System pairs a variable-speed Greenspeed heat pump with a high-efficiency modulating gas furnace for the most versatile and efficient HVAC solution available. The system automatically switches between electric heat pump and gas furnace operation based on outdoor temperature and energy costs — always choosing the most efficient option.
In mild weather (roughly above 35°F), the heat pump provides efficient electric heating at 2-3x the efficiency of gas. When temperatures drop below the balance point, the system seamlessly switches to the gas furnace for reliable warmth. In summer, the heat pump handles all cooling at up to 23 SEER2. You get the best of both technologies with zero compromise.
Albuquerque's climate is ideal for dual fuel. Our mild winter days let the heat pump run efficiently most of the time, while the gas furnace provides backup for cold nights and the occasional arctic blast. This combination typically delivers the lowest total heating costs of any system type.
Up to 23 SEER2 cooling — Variable-speed heat pump with Greenspeed Intelligence.
Up to 96% AFUE heating — Modulating gas furnace for cold weather backup.
Automatic switchover — System chooses most efficient heating source.
Infinity System Control — Full smart system management with Wi-Fi.
Maximum rebate eligibility — Qualifies for the largest combined rebate package.
